Many children come to Swayam from different corners of Thane city and many parents find it difficult to commute with their child in public transport. We intend to make the commute easier. Not only is the travel difficult, many parents also hail from economically poorer sections. We provide services free of cost and at concessional rates. For us to be able to continue providing services, we need regular financial support from generous organisations and beneficiaries. For those in rural areas who are unable to commute to obtain therapies for their child with disabilities, we want to provide ‘Resource Centre On Wheels’. For those who cannot physically move from their homes to the centre due to their severe disability, we are working on a ‘Home Based Rehabilitation’ project to make alterations in their home setting, according to the WHO guidelines.
